iPhone Cases

The iPhone has been out for almost two months and the excitement still takes over the blogosphere. I spent half hour playing with one at my closest Apple store, I love it, and I really wish I had to money to get one right now. While listening to the Typical Mac User podcast last weekend I came to realize that if I had an iPhone today choosing the right case or cover would be a dilemma for me. I started looking at the cases and/or covers available in the market and here are my findings.
The first iPhone cover that came to my attention was the Marware C.E.O. Sleeve for iPhone; I live the style of this sleeve leather case. The discussion in the Typical Mac User mention the point that permanent cover may overheat your battery during charging, decreasing the life span of it. With this in mind this cover makes perfect sense since you would have to take it out of the cover to use it or charging it. At $24.95 this cover rocks even in the price, but there are other options.
Griffin Technologies also have a similar sleeve style case, with the difference that the C.E.O. Sleeve case has a rotating belt clip and the Griffin one does not. This one is also a leather option and this one is black too. The main difference also is the price running for $29.99 is a bit more expensive than the Marware option. Both companies have other products so be sure to visit them and compare, you may find other to be your favorite.
Another company with good products is Belkin; the Slim-Fit Case for iPhone makes a great companion for your new toy. Is made of leather also and has similar features to the Griffin one except for the Lifetime Warranty, the warranty itself makes it worth the $29.99 price tag. Keep your iPhone as cool as possible, and by cool I mean at a nice temperature. There are other companies with products for your iPhone, visit them all: Speck at www.speckproducts.com, Macally at www.macally.com, and Case Mate at www.case-mate.com.
What is your favorite iPhone case? One thing this whole case talking made me think about the Apple iPod Leather Case, what where they thinking offering a leather case for $99.00.
