iTunes Podcast Pricing?

With all the things going on with Apple and the iPad, a couple bugs are showing here and there around OS X. Today, I downloaded a podcast without subscribing and suddenly a “Pricing” column appeared in my Podcast directory. I don’t want to even think that we are going to see the proliferation of for-paid podcast in iTunes, not that some deserve to get paid for their hard work, but I’m kind of use the their ad-supported business model they have right now. As you can see in the picture … Continue reading

Everybody Else is Talking About it, So Why Can’t We.

Taking the title from an album from my favorite band, The Cranberries, everybody else is doing it, so why can’t we. Let us talk about iTunes, they have just started selling songs with the variable pricing scheme they announced some time ago. As if they never said anything, the blogosphere has gone rouge about it, and yes, I’m trying to be funny about it. As if everyone forgot that over year ago they started selling higher bitrates music for $1.29 only to realize what a bad idea that was and … Continue reading

Wireless Connection Speeds

I finally gave up my D-Link router and got an Apple AirPort Express, I waited two years since I originally plan this purchase but it was well worth the wait. I got the latest version of the Apple Airport Express with “N” technology (or draft “n”), none of my computers or gadgets has the “N” specs but I’m just getting ready to the future. What made me go for the Apple product was the recent purchase of a used PowerBook G4, I try connecting to my D-Link router and I … Continue reading

iTunes No 2 Music Reseller, Industry Down 10%

I was thinking about this over the weekend, some firm expert in the subject announced that Apple’s iTunes just became the number two reseller of music (in the US?) but the industry still wend down ten percent. I was listening to Adam from the MacCast explaining how the economy factors into this decline as well as piracy. I have a different taste in my mouth, how about thinking that there are not as many good singers out there as there were before. If you think about it, ten years ago … Continue reading

iTunes Movie Rental Glitches

I rented a movie for the second time since iTunes is offering the rental option, I rented the movie War, with Jet Li and Jason Statham. The movie is ok, it didn’t really impress me, lots of action but weird plot. Don’t think that this post is a review about the movie, I’m going to talk about the rental experience. I fired up iTunes and close every other application, looked for a movie, watch the previews and decided to watch War. I clicked on rent and confirm the rental, went … Continue reading
